Barbara – Christmas Wreath

A wreath is a warm welcome in this cold season. It’s the first hint that a home is filled with happiness and cheer! Design team member Barbara Anders created this beautiful paper poinsettia Christmas Wreath that you, too, can hang up to spread good cheer in your home. Why choose store-bought when you can add your own special touch to your holiday decorations?

To complete this project, you’ll need the MFT Let It Snowflake and Poinsettia Die-namics, a foam wreath, some Spanish moss, ribbon, card stock in Red Hot, Gumdrop Green, and Fuse Green, glitter paper, a hot glue gun, florist wire, and fishing line! A mug of hot chocolate won’t hurt, either.

Spread hot glue on your foam wreath in sections and adhere Spanish moss until the wreath is covered.

Wrap fishing line around snuggly, but not tightly, to help anchor the Spanish moss.

Die-cut and assemble the poinsettias. Die-cut extra leaves for placement later. More poinsettias can be added later to fit your style and personal taste!

Tie a simple bow from plaid ribbon, hot glue it in place, and secure with a straight pin into the foam wreath.

Arrange the poinsettias and adhere using your hot glue. Gently shape the poinsettia and leaf petals with you fingers for dimension and a more natural look.

Die-cut the snowflakes from glitter paper and adhere 3″ lengths of florist wire to the back of each. Apply a dab of hot glue to the end of the florist wire and insert among the poinsettias wherever you choose. This is where you can get really creative!

Once you’re finished, you’re ready to hang your creation to welcome holiday guests into your happy home! This project also works perfectly as a thoughtful and inexpensive gift. Make each wreath unique using different ribbons and arrangement of poinsettias.

Interesting blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download
it from somewhere? A design like yours with a few simple adjustements would really
make my blog shine. Please let me know where you got your theme.
