Mother’s Day Brooch
Amber wowed us yesterday with her take on the Wildflowers Centerpieces Die-namics and she’s back with us today sharing another very timely, very beautiful project. We’ve been so fortunate to have Amber on our blog the past two days but have you had a chance to pop over to her blog? You might want to, you know, if you haven’t yet First, you’ll want to check out today’s craftiness though…let’s get to it!
Hi MFT friends! I’m back with one more project using another of my favorite MFT Die-namics. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, MFT really does offer the best in floral dies. The rolled flowers are awesome and I am especially jonesing over the Lily Die-namics. The layered look is so, so pretty. I decided to assemble them into simple little brooches that are a perfect favor for Mother’s Day.
When cutting out my Lily Die-namics – I like to keep the die connected rather than separating them. The pieces are so delicate, it can be easy to misplace them. Since I do keep them connected, I avoid running the die through several sheets of cardstock by just cutting once with white cardstock. Then, I can use my Copics to color each layer of the Lily in whatever colors I choose.
To give my paper brooch a pretty presentation (which is oh-so-important!) I mounted the pin onto one of the Traditional Tag STAX Die-namics. I absolutely love the versatility of that tag die set!
Thanks for hanging out with me for a few days while I show off some MFT. I hope to see you over at Damask Love for more crafting fun!
