There are days that I could color, and paper piece to my hearts content, but then there are other days when I really need a card quickly. Somehow I get the feeling that I’m not the only one that seems to need a card at the last minute for a birthday party, or for a little hostess gift. Right? You know the old “Honey, I’m going to make a quick card, and then we can go.” You know what I mean, the eye roll, and your husband’s response of “Don’t you have something in already made you could use for that?” Please, please tell me I’m not alone.
In those instances, I’m so glad for My Favorite Things Stamp and Die-namics combos. These sets are built with all the elements you need to put a card together, without it taking the majority of your afternoon.
Today I’ve got a card that I pulled together using the At the Movies Stamp set and Die-namics. I created a quick pennant with my Jumbo Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics and added a Die-namics Pinking Edge to add a fun edge to a coordinating rectangular scrap. This stamp set is completely enormous, so I was able to select a simple “Happy Birthday” and added the “9″ for mark which birthday. I love adding custom details like that.
Since the stamp set is huge, I went ahead and finished off the inside too. (Might I add this is a great way to use up your stash of patterned papers?) I used another of the greetings from the stamp set, stamped the mini-ticket included in the set then embellished using the Mini Film Strip Die-namics and the Die-namics Star Border.
Today’s Feature Friday video highlights some of my favorite stamp and Die-namics combinations for quicker card creations. Today’s video doesn’t include all of our stamp and Die-namics pairings, but you can peruse the full collection HERE in the MFT Boutique.
