Happy Wednesday and happy VIP Day!!! Today’s WSC is a color challenge using the 3 new ruffled ribbons in the VIP Kit; Tomato, Celery and Sunshine (or Red, Green and Yellow). We’ve not had a color challenge before, so I’m quite excited!
This week I borrowed an idea from Barbara, and created a flower pot card. I used In My Garden Jolinne as I hadn’t had a chance yet to ink her up, and she was simply begging for attention. Who could refuse that face? Not me!
I traced Barbara’s flower pot card (as I am it’s proud new owner!) onto Jellybean Green card stock, and after it was scored and folded I added some Copic marker to the inside edges to create depth. I printed out Red Gingham DIGI paper on cream cardstock to age it a bit, which worked! WOOT! And then…take a deep breath….I SEWED. I truly swore this day would never come, I would not sew on paper, but I caved. Mind you, I have MUCH to learn about my new toy, so bear with me.
I stamped Jolinne on a Cream Perfect Panel, and colored her using Copics. I added a pocket to her dress with the Gingham DIGI paper to tie it in. Maybe I’ll be good enough to sew it on someday!
I finished it off with Sunshine and Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics, Earth Girl Felt and Cotton Twill.
