The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we challenge our designers to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique. This month, we asked the team to create Holiday Home Decor using our MFT Stamps and Die-namics.
Even though it’s well after Thanksgiving, I DO have something I am thankful for, and that’s an opportunity to CREATE!
Jody and I spent most of Sunday crafting (and snacking) together, and I had such a great time. I can’t WAIT to do it again. To create my home decor items I used 4×4 canvas cubes I purchased from Michael’s.
I covered each one in a blend of gesso and acrylic paint. Once the paint layer was dry, I used a stencil to add a pearlized paint accent, and then added a bit of silver Stickles on select dots for an accent.
I sprayed Silver Memories Mist on the Whip Cream card stock I used to cut out the lighter layer Circle STAX panel as well as each letter. It covered evenly, and beautifully!
I coated each Jumbo Snowflake in the pearlized paint to make it shimmer. Once everything was assembled, I added some 4mm Swarovski crystals as a final accent.
I just love how it turned out!
