November Teaser Time Begins!

Okay people, it’s time to get excited!  We’re about to kick off the New Release preparations for My Favorite Things November Release.  For the next seven days, we’re going to share the newest stamps and Die-namics dies.  I’m sure you haven’t forgotten…there will be prizes!  Fourteen of them to be exact, and all you have to do is leave a comment on each of the Design Team previews.  You’ll find links to the participating designers here on the MFT Blog each and every day!

Be sure to mark our November Release on your calendar for Tuesday, November 1st from 8-10pm EST.  First we’ll meet you over on the MFT Forum for the monthly New Release Party from 8-10pm EST.  Join MFT’s Designers, as well as fellow MFT Fans for lots of chatter about the new release, as well as even more prizes! Be sure to brush up on your new release details to maximize your chances at winning!

The Guest Designer Contest is ON!

Each month, as part of our New Release preparations, we invite MFT Fans everywhere to participate in our monthly search for a guest designer.  The winner will join us in the weekly Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge, will participate in daily teasers for the December release and will win a prize package valued at over $200 loaded with product from the December release!  You’ll find all the details of the Guest Designer Contest on this thread.

Full Set Reveals:

The first set that we’re sharing with you might look familiar…..  It was briefly available as part of our VIP Kit in Mid-November. The set sold out within a few short hours, so my guess is that several of you will be eagerly awaiting its return on Tuesday, November 1st!

Our friend Who’s That Girl is a dream to color, or paper piece.  You’ll have a bevvy of creative options with the six companion sentiments.  You can use the secondary image, the oversized cup of cocoa either as an inside and outside treatment, or you can even use it as a stand alone image. With those long winter months ahead, I’m sure you’ll find lots of reasons to send cozy cards….

Die-namics Preview:

In early January Jody approached me with an idea for another new and revolutionary die, and I thought I’d offer a glimpse into both her mind, and our creative process!

Jody came up with an idea for the Loopy Bloom die, and then created several samples of various sizes to see which worked, and looked, best.  Anyone who knows Jody knows that every angle is always WELL explored!  And we love her for that…

Once the samples were created, she sent over a picture of how she wanted the die constructed.

Again you’ll notice her thoroughness in action as everything is precisely measured and drawn.  I love that chick… <3

You’ll also notice little red lines down the center of the die, representing score lines.  Why is this feature so important?  Without those score lines, you can’t easily manufacture paper Loopy Bloom flowers.  And who wants to be limited?

Jody and I work very hard to bring you THE most original and well thought out products available on the market, and I hope you enjoyed a little peek into our creative process!

Just below, you’ll find a video from Jody showing several ways to assemble the Loopy Bloom!

A Million Little Things – Paper Bag Book

Today Joanne and I are in Houston and sharing a paper bag book project with store owners across the country!  We thought you might enjoy taking a peek at our class sample, using paper from Cosmo Cricket Odds and Ends.  We have so many stamps and Die-namics which are perfect for scrapbooking, mini books or altered art.

Here’s a close look at how we’ll be spending our afternoon, it promises to be a lot of fun building these books, and we hope you find one or two elements in this project that would be perfect for  mini book of your own! If you haven’t made one before, you can find a YouTube video here which Joanne made for a similar book earlier this year.

This book includes photos from our summer adventures at CHA.  You’ll see the smiling faces of many of our designers and good friends from Splitcoast too! Enjoy!
